Fairbanks is experiencing the first decent snow storm of the winter right now. We received about 4 inches yesterday and another 10, at least, have fallen so far today. It is beautiful, and the trees are drooping with snow, until some threshold is reached and the snow sheds off in great avalanche like plumes. I took the dog for a brief walk around noon today, and made a few images. These are black and white conversions, but considering the landscape is almost entirely black and white anyway, it hardly makes a difference.
