I&#8217;m just back from a 17 day trip in western Gates of the Arctic National Park. It was a two-part trip, a week-long backpacking trip from the headwaters of the Alatna to the Noatak, and then a ten day canoe trip down the Noatak. Along the way, my clients and I faced all kinds of weather, over 15 different Grizzlies, dozens of caribou, and few days that were so sublime and beautiful that I was literally brought to tears.<\/p>\n<p>The evening I made this image, was one of those days.
